Hua Hin is a seaside resort city in Thailand, which faces Gulf of Thailand and also known as Royal Beach Resort. Hua Hin is located in the Prachuap Khiri Khan province which is situated at the northern end of the Peninsular Thailand and about 123km to the south of Bangkok. Hua Hin very popular with Thais and became weekend getaway spot for Bangkok residents.
GETTING THERE
1. BY AIR - u can take SGA airline ( now alliance with Nok Air) http://www.sga.co.th/ , which is operate 3 - 4 times daily flight from Suvarnabhumi airport. the flights maybe take around 45 minutes to 1 hour journey.
2. BY CAR / TAXI - From Bangkok, u can take Highway No. 35 (Thonburi Pak Tho route) passing Samut Prakan and Samut Songkhram, then take highway No. 4 (Phetkasem road) to Hua Hin. it can take 2 hours journey. By taxi from Bangkok to Hua Hin also possible but the fare must be negotiate, try to get around 2000Baht range.
3. BY TRAIN - This journey maybe takes about 3 - 4 hours from Bangkok. Train can take at Hua Lamphong station which have 12 time daily trip to Hua Hin. This is the easy way because Hua Hin train station located within the city.
4. BY BUS - U can take bus at Bangkok Southern Terminal. This journey take about 3.5 hours.The price is 110Baht, 85Baht and 61Baht for 1st Class Air-conditioned, 2nd Class Air-conditioned and ordinary bus respectively. From Khao San road, u can take minivan to Hua Hin which cost around 150Baht/person. From downtown Bangkok, u also can take minivan from Victory Monument (Anusawari Chai) area, near the BTS skytrain, which cost around 180Baht/person. The price maybe change depends on current circumstances.
GETTING AROUND
1. MINIBUS - U can use this transport to the beach of Khao Takiap and Suan Son. The minibus terminal situated at the Intersection of Sasong road and Dam noen Kasem road.
2. SONGTHAEW - u can take songthaew at the station at the Intersection of Chomsin road and Phetkasem road.
3. For trip around Hua Hin town, u also can take Tuk-tuk or Samlor (tricycle), which cosst maybe 40Baht/trip.
4. At Hua Hin u also can rent motorcycle or bicycle for around the city. U can rent at Dam noen Kasem road near the Jed Pee Nong hotel.
5. At fishing pier, u also can charter boat to Koh Singto for 800Baht/day.

1. HUA HIN BEACH - u can enjoy the beautiful 5km long white sandy beach, many seaside resort along the beach and this beach very close to town.
2. KHAO TAKIAB - One of the highest area in Hua Hin, going up here u can see the whole Hua Hin scenery. Here also a good place to see sunset. On the hill top have huge standing buddha and temple.
3. HUA HIN RAILWAY STATION - This is one of the oldest train station in Thailand. its unique, red color and white pavilion formerly served as the Royal Waiting Room.
4. KLAI KANGWON PALACE / SUMMER PALACE - Built in 1926 after King Rama VII was crowned, have 3 spanish-style mansions overlooking the sea, presently, it is the residence of His Majesty The King.
5. SUAN SON BEACH - owned by Thai army but open to public, located to the south of Hua Hin town and also have beautiful beach.
6. KOH SINGTO - This tiny island located about 800m off Suan Son beach and suitable for fishing trip and diving.
7. HUA HIN ART & CRAFT CENTRE - Located on Naepkhehat road, it showcases work of art including paintings, sculptures, thai handicraft and antiques.
8. HUA HIN NIGHT MARKET - Situated in downtown of Hua Hin, this is the best place to hang around in the evening and enjoy fresh seafood as well as shops for clothes, local handicrafts and souvenirs.

SHOPPING
- Souvenirs shops in Hua Hin, mostly on Naret Damri road, Decha Nuchit road, Chomsin road and Damnoen Kasem road.
- In Hua Hin also can buy Khommaphat ( printed cotton & silk fabrics), dried sea food, handicraft and variety of processed fruits.
- The best place for shopping is at night market but Hua Hin have 2 night market. The better known is in the middle Hua Hin town which is more to tourist oriented. Another one is Grand Market (Thai favors) located at parking lot between Grand Hotel and Sao Paulo Hospital.
EAT & DRINK
There are many options to eat and drink around Hua Hin. The beach area and Khao Takiap more to tourist area but if u want good local dishes just try on Phetkasem road along the way to Khao Takiap. At night market and Tesco village mall also have cheap foods.
Finally, Hua Hin is the safe city to visit due the King Palace was here so the security very tight.
